Editorial Illustrator in Hong Kong

Editorial illustration from Hong Kong for stories around business, culture, technology, and Asia.

Editorial illustration is useful when a story needs more than a literal image. A publication may be covering technology, business, culture, politics, or something very human, but the visual job is similar: give readers a way in without flattening the idea.

I am based in Hong Kong, and a lot of my recent editorial work has been around Asia, China business, technology, culture, and the strange places where all those subjects overlap.

The kind of stories I like

The best fit is usually a story that is specific but hard to photograph: regulatory tension, technology supply chains, markets, culture, geopolitics, or the human side of a business story.

  • Magazine and digital publication features
  • Opinion and analysis pieces
  • Report covers and campaign visuals
  • Podcast artwork and episode imagery
  • Brand/editorial content for agencies

Working from Hong Kong

For teams covering Asia, China, trade, finance, technology, or culture, context matters. Being here helps me read some of the references and tensions faster, while still working with editors and teams across different time zones.
